Sewer and Water Foreman

Responsibilities and Duties:

Oversee and manage a crew of 3-5 labors and operators for following:

• Installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains and hydrants
• Flush water mains, hydrants, and sewers
• Tap and inspect new service connections
• Investigate customer complaints
• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of storm and sanitary sewer lines plus basins
• Inspect manholes to determine condition and locate stoppages
• Respond to complaints regarding water leaks and pressure loss or no water and evaluate the situation
• Dig ditches and holes
• Operate and maintain equipment as needed
• Strictly always follow all McNelly and OSHA safety regulations
• Often required to work non-traditional working hours which include weekends, holidays, and nights on a on call basis

Qualifications and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations
• 5 years of Sewer and Water experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• CDL required Class C minimal
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to effectively operate scissor lifts and boom lifts
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs, abdominal and lower back muscles to support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
