We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our team. This position will play a key role in general accounting functions, inventory reconciliations, and business reporting. This role will be involved in offering insights to guide leadership decisions on pricing and inventory.
Candidates with a solid grasp of US accounting standards and an investigative mindset will be positioned to excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed reports on pricing, inventory, and other key metrics to enable data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather information on inventory and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Identify root cause and trends for discrepancies in internal transactions and identify improvements
- Analyze profitability, including GP trends, to provide actionable financial insights to the leadership team
- Generate reports and maintain recordkeeping
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience analyzing inventory
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with use of formula and tools for advanced data analysis
- Familiarity with ERP software and inventory management tools strongly preferred
- Experience using SQL a plus
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and offer strategic insights
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
