We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Detailer to join our team. This position serves as a Structural Detailing Specialist by reviewing customer drawings, creating takeoffs, preparing material estimates, and assembling other information to be submitted with the proposal.

We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Detailer to join our team. This position serves as a Structural Detailing Specialist by reviewing customer drawings, creating takeoffs, preparing material estimates, and assembling other information to be submitted with the proposal.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates for customer quotations
- Prepare material estimates by calculating complete takeoff for scope of work and applying labor units as applicable
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost effective to produce or purchase from outside sources
- Collaborate with sales department to determine of design and manufacturing
- Provide technical advice and problem solving for internal personnel and customers
- Gather information to be submitted with the proposal such as price breakouts and quantities
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for the estimate, including current information from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in CAD Design, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- CAD software experience, AutoCAD 2D and 3D strongly preferred
- Advanced math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with structural drawings, sales engineering and customer relations experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize, identify solutions, and achieve deadlines
- High levels of professionalism with strong attention to detail
