Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health conditions by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients’ progress and respond to changes in their condition.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Participate in infection control measures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide triage services in emergency situations, including ER support when necessary.
- Offer specialized care for memory care patients, ensuring their unique needs are met.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of triage procedures and emergency medicine practices.
- Experience in memory care settings or working with children is a plus.
- Proficient in infection control practices and catheter care techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as the ER.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
