McPherson College is seeking a Director Track and Field and Cross Country with the proven ability to manage successful programs. This individual will be responsible for daily management, instruction and administration of all phases of the Track and Field and Cross-Country programs in accordance with all NAIA, KCAC and McPherson College regulations. Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: instructing on practice, game preparation and strategy; hire, supervise and lead a quality coaching staff; recruitment of prospective student-athletes; retention of student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of the Track and Field and Cross Country student athletes; preparation and oversight of budget; community outreach; and program specific and departmental fundraising.
The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the college.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred; three years of collegiate coaching experience required. This is a full-time, exempt, benefits eligible position and reports to the Athletic Director. This is a 12-month position.
