JOB SUMMARY:
Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician. Actively participates in outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Strong communication skills
- Shows accountability by being trustworthy, responsible, and dependable while taking ownership of actions.
- Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly, and proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling.
- Must be comfortable with fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management.
- Exercise independent judgement and can work under minimal supervision.
Education:
- Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required.
- ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
- Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred but not required.
- Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.
