Well established Glens Falls, New York based Law Firm seeks personable, patient, and hardworking Paralegal Assistant to join our Team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law office and will have excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. In this position you will assist our Litigation Department.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist attorneys with drafting preparation of correspondence, documents, discovery and investigation;
- Maintain electronic and physical files according to company procedures;
- Scan and post all correspondence, emails, notes from telephone calls, and faxes to ensure proper file compliance;
- Maintain task lists for documents and court deadlines;
- Electronic calendar maintenance;
- Prepare and assemble materials, documents and exhibits for meetings, court appearances and hearings;
- General office duties as assigned by Partners and office managers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience;
- 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise;
- Notary Public is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
