What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Administrator position at MCPHS?
The New England School of Acupuncture seeks a part-time 20-hour a week Front Desk Administrator to staff the Worcester Acupuncture Treatment Center with a focus on supporting clinic workflow including scheduling and checking in patients and supporting on-site clinical faculty and interns.
- Make patient appointments
- Check in patients and take payments
- Manage patient recall system
- Reconcile patient accounts and collect payments
- Respond to patient inquiries in a manner that contribute to a positive patient experience
- Maintain Treatment Center files and records; scan, and photocopy documents
- Interact with clinical faculty and interns and respond to inquiries
- Prepare statements for business office, maintain cash box and make weekly deposits
- Maintain a clean, orderly and inviting appearance of the sales and stock areas
- Reconcile daily cash receipts.
- Provide timely utilization reports as requested
- In coordination with the Clinic Operations Administrator and Director of Clinical Education hire, train, and supervise student workers in the Treatment Center
- Contribute to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
- Associate's degree
- Experience in dental office or clinic
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage multiple ongoing projects, meet deadlines and remain calm and adaptable in stressful situations
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of the operations and administration of a medical facility
- Knowledge of and experience with practice management software or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Understanding of patient care protocols, procedures, regulations and standards of care
- Familiarity and fiscal management principles and procedures
- Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and floors of buildings
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
- Ability to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours
- Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
- Ability to lift up to 5-10 lbs.
