What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at McQuillen Manufacturing?

The Quality Technician, reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, has the responsibility of supporting the daily operational activities of the quality function. These responsibilities include:
- Performing inspections at receiving, in process and final stages of production.
- Hand inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gages, pin gauges, etc.
- Detailed visual inspections with up to 5x magnification
- Creating deliverable documentation
- Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Integrity
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Blueprint reading including GD&T
- Ability to adapt to change in a rapidly evolving environment
- Independently completes projects and manages time effectively
- Knowledge of quality control methods, techniques, and standards.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Additional Qualifications are a Plus:
- Associates degree or Bachelors degree in a related field
- Experience working with stringent Workmanship standards
- Experience working with tight tolerances (±.00X” to ±.000X”)
- Formal training and/or certification in the quality discipline (CQI, CQT, etc.)
- Customer and industry specification interpretation experience
- Supply chain Quality Assurance experience
- Experience with Zeiss Calypso and CMM operation
