What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Hotel General Manager position at MCR Hotels?
The Assistant Hotel General Manager plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and efficient hotel operations, all while focusing on achieving financial success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure compliance with MCR standards and regulations to promote safe and effective hotel operations.
Oversee hotel operations in the General Manager's absence by providing supervision and support to various departments including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Housekeeping.
Assist the General Manager in developing team members through implementation of Corporate and Brand training programs.
Maintain high service levels as directed by regional leadership.
Participate in Manager on Duty coverage as required.
Engage with guests and employees in a courteous, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
Assist in creating and managing financial reports, ensuring deadlines are met.
Facilitate effective training in service standards across all departments.
Be proactive in public areas during peak times to greet guests and provide assistance.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Ability to evaluate options quickly and efficiently.
Capability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Proficient problem-solving skills in the workplace.
Excellent listening and communication skills to address concerns from guests and staff.
Understanding of financial data and proficiency in basic arithmetic.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing software.
High school diploma or GED required.
Clear communication skills for conveying information and ideas.
Genuine desire to provide outstanding service to all guests.
Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages (if applicable).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Progressive experience within the hotel industry, particularly in Rooms and Food & Beverage departments.
