What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at MCR Hotels?
The Bartender at Canopy by Hilton Southpark provides customized beverage service to each of the hotel's restaurant / bar customer in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. Responsible for assuring the guest is having a great time and / or relaxing while at the bar. Associates are passionate about guest service and can communicate effectively and multitask.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar area
- Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce
- Maintain stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Promote and document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practice portion control
- Attend monthly departmental meetings
- Input orders into POS and creates a check for each guest
- Receive cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys
- Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank at end of shift as needed
- Sanitize and clean in and around the bar area
- Work effectively and efficiently with the service and kitchen teams
- Communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to supervisors and managers
- Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers, and management
- Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
- Other duties as assigned
