Key Responsibilities :
Diagnosis and Inspection :
Thoroughly inspect front-end suspension components for wear, damage, or malfunction using visual checks and diagnostic tools.
Identify issues like worn suspension bushings, loose components, uneven tire wear, and abnormal steering behavior.
Use diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the exact cause of suspension problems.
Repair and Replacement :
Replace worn or damaged suspension components : shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and stabilizer bars according to Ford specifications.
Perform alignment adjustments to ensure proper tire contact and vehicle handling.
Diagnose & repair differential & drive line-related repairs.
Install new suspension parts accurately and securely.
Maintenance and Preventative Care :
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on front-end suspension systems as per manufacturer guidelines.
Lubricate suspension components to prevent wear and tear.
Documentation and Communication :
Accurately document all repairs and findings on the repair order, including parts used and labor performed.
Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and estimated costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Expertise : Strong understanding of Ford vehicle front-end suspension systems, including components, functions, and diagnostic procedures.
Mechanical Skills : Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble suspension components.
Alignment Expertise : Ability to perform accurate wheel alignments using alignment equipment.
Ford Training : Completion of relevant Ford technical training programs preferred.
Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to inspections and repairs to ensure quality workmanship.
Work Environment :
Automotive service bay environment with grease, oil, and vehicle noise exposure.
It may require working in various weather conditions.
Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools in good working order
Valid Texas Driver’s License, Clean drug screening and background check
