JOB SUMMARY: Provide Medical Support Assistant services to schedule COVID vaccine, Purchased Referred Care call appointments, medical appointments, insurance approvals, preauthorizations, and medical record maintenance for Claremore Indian Hospital.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Use standard forms to process incoming staff and patients by:
- Screen persons as required to enter facility
- Complete insurance forms and conduct Pre-Authorizations
- Schedule appointments by phone or other methods
- Maintain financial and medical records
- Record and file patient charts and medical records
- The medical assistant will be required to be able to use a computer to complete tasks in the HER
- Answer the telephone, record and relay messages and/or redirect calls as necessary
- Will refer urgent messages as necessary for immediate action
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Background check required.
