JOB SUMMARY: MCSG is seeking a qualified Test Conductor to support Code 587 (Science Data Processing Branch) for the design, development, implementation and integration of science data processing applications and science data processing technology for flight, in-situ and ground based systems. Location: This job is located at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD and allows for a hybrid work schedule.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Identify and diagnose faults or issues in SpaceCube card assemblies and work with the engineering team to determine appropriate corrective actions
- Conduct Electrical Interface Continuity/Isolation Tests (EICIT), initial power on testing, and functional tests on PCB assemblies
- Configure and use laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, Automated Safe-to-Mate (ASTM) machine, bench power supplies, Digital Multimeters, etc.) to test PCB assemblies
- Work with engineering team to develop/modify test procedures and WOA instructions for PCB testing
- Generate test reports, document test results, and upload documentation into the CM system
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with embedded processors and/or FPGAs
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in Test Conducting.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain National Agency Check Inquiry (NACI) personal background check. US Citizenship required.
