The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and preconstruction services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading preconstruction efforts on multifamily projects, including preliminary budgeting, schedules, bidding process, procurement, and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage conceptual budgets and estimates for multifamily projects.
- Lead the value engineering process to optimize project costs.
- Collaborate with clients to provide expert advice on design decisions impacting cost.
- Participate in design coordination meetings to ensure clarity and consensus.
- Manage the MEPFP design build process from inception to completion.
- Resolve issues with plans and specifications during the design management stage and buyout process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field.
- 4 years of experience in preconstruction or estimating.
- Thorough competency in On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
