Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and ensuring alignment with company objectives. This role requires extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, focusing on financial management, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. A comprehensive understanding of global trade regulations, including compliance with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), as well as tariff management specifically in China and countries with strategic advantages for U.S. manufacturing companies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support long-term growth and align with the company’s business goals.
  • Provide financial leadership with a focus on manufacturing processes, cost control, capital expenditures, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and international trade regulations, including tariffs and the USMCA.
  • Collaborate with executives to assess and manage business risks, including economic, operational, and regulatory challenges.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
  • Lead the finance and accounting team, ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are in place.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and working capital.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at cost reduction, process improvements, and enhancing financial transparency.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Must have experience in leadership with companies that generate $20 million in income and have 100 employees.
  • Strong knowledge of tariffs and experience with USMCA compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and complex data analysis
  • Experience managing and leading finance teams with a focus on cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems used in manufacturing.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience with global supply chain finance and international trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and cost accounting practices.
