Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sewer and Drain Technician to join our plumbing team. The primary focus of this role will be to provide efficient and professional service for clogged drains using specialized equipment such as drain snakes and hydrojetters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with drain cleaning, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The pay scale for this role is dependent on skill level and experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to service calls related to clogged drains and sewer line issues.
- Diagnose blockages and determine the most effective method for clearing drains.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including manual and powered drain snakes, hydrojetters, and other specialized tools.
- Perform routine inspections of sewer lines using camera systems when necessary.
- Advise customers on maintenance practices to prevent future clogs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment during service calls.
- Document work performed, including services provided and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sewer and Drain Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating drain cleaning tools and hydrojetting equipment.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, including sewer and drainage systems.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Plumbing License or Apprentice Card
- Certification or training in plumbing or drain cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with camera inspection equipment and procedures.
- Experience with basic plumbing repairs.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
