What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver - FedEx Ground/Home Delivery position at McVety, Inc.?
FedEx Ground Independent contractor looking for hardworking, reliable and honest individuals for full time driving positions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive job. We are also open to individuals looking for seasonal or part-time positions.

- Must pass a D.O.T physical and drug test
- Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience within the past year or 3 years commercial driving within the past 5 years. This can be any company vehicle or your own personal vehicle when used for company business. -However, training may be available to qualified applicants that don't meet the minimum driving requirements. All applicants will be required to pass a drug test and physical exam.
Primary delivery area is Logan, Shelby, and/or Auglaize counties.
Prospective candidates must be able to learn a delivery route in a geographic area and deliver packages to homes and businesses. The ability to learn a route using maps, efficiently plan your route, and provide excellent customer service while safely operating a company provided van or truck are key requirements for this position.
In your role as a FedEx driver, you would report to the FedEx Ground Terminal in Vandalia, OH where you will load your truck, deliver and pick up packages before returning the truck to the terminal at day's end. Your responsibilities include: scanning, delivering/picking up packages, daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection, and superior customer service.
No CDL is required for this job.
Team work is a must
To qualify you must:
- Have valid drivers license
- Be 21 years Old
- Have driving experience
- Have clean motor vehicle report
- Pass a drug screen and DOT physical
- Have clean criminal background
- Have good work history
Job Type: Full-Time - Initially, your schedule will include Saturday.
Salary: Starts at $140/day up to $160/day
We currently deliver 6 days a week. We are especially interested in any potential drivers that are willing to work weekends.
