What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager, Department of Internal Medicine position at MCVP MCV Associated Physicians (DBA)?
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects and programs for an assigned department or area. This position will collaborate with organizational leader to provide clear project vision, value and deliverables to achieve goals and ROI. The Project Manager partners with business stakeholders to develop clear project plans, define project metrics and regularly report on project status and results. This position provides independent, analytical, and programmatic support for the department’s strategic initiatives. The Project Manager provides support and assistance to other department and/or EPMO Managers and Project Sponsors by coordinating project deliverables. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements preferred: PMP certification Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Experience REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years of project management experience Experience PREFERRED: Minimum 3 years of experience working in health care or university administration setting managing multiple projects using project management methodology. Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, health care management or related degree. Independent action(s) required: Experience in managing cross-functional projects including planning and organizing work to achieve project and organizational objectives. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assist in the development and execution of new and ongoing projects. Strong interpersonal skills to assist, support and collaborate with a variety of work teams. Ability to plan and organize work in order to achieve project goals and organizational objectives. Ability to manage and be responsible for shifting business priorities, demands and timelines. Ability to deliver clear and concise presentations and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of key stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
