The Repairs Division in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Assistant Tool Room Attendant Position for the Machining Services & Valves division.
In This Role You Will
- Perform tool and/or equipment check in/out from tool room to technicians
- Assist with performing periodic physical inventory counts
- Maintaining / replenishing tool room stock of consumable items
- Able to create / receive purchase orders
- Keep tool room clean and organized
- Perform daily fork truck and crane inspections / document
- Operate fork truck and overhead crane as needed for the loading / unloading of parts and equipment from trucks, vans, etc.
- Perform inventories on tool & equipment gang boxes and portable machine shops upon their return from job sites
- Coordinate the repair of tools & equipment as needed
- Build wooden shipping crates for various parts, tools & equipment as needed
- Other associated duties as assigned
- Able to follow / take directions from the Tool Room Attendant
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to manually lift up to 50-lbs
- Able to qualify / operate a fork truck
- Able to qualify / operate overhead crane(s)
- Possess good communication skills – verbal as well as written
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools as well as precision measuring instruments such as inside & outside micrometers, verniers, Pi tapes, etc.
- Work overtime as needed to support active shop & field work scopes
- Previous experience in a similar position in an industrial environment desired but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
