What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computational Mechanistic Modeling of Dynamic Biological Systems position at MD Anderson Cancer Center?
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology. We are seeking a researcher with strong training in mathematics and computational science who has a career interest in modeling complex, dynamic biological systems, including tissues and the human immune system, in the context of disease and cancer progression. The role will focus on developing computational models for treatment approaches such as immunotherapy and targeted therapy. With the advent of single-cell and spatial omics, along with high-throughput functional screening data, there is an unprecedented opportunity to leverage molecular and cellular insights to enhance these models. This research has the potential to reduce reliance on animal models and significantly impact therapeutic development and treatment decision-making.
