Parking Attendant
Ideal candidate will have the following:
- a clean driving record and be eligible to drive an institutional vehicle
- a valid Texas driver's license
- able to drive for long periods of time
- able to repeatedly get in and out of a vehicle
- able to drive in inclement weather
- customer service skills
- able to use Word, Excel, and Outlook
- able to periodically work the 5am-2pm shift...also able to work the 8a-5pm shift on Mondays...normal shift will be 7a-4p
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Parking Attendant position is to monitor all MD Anderson owned and/or controlled parking facilities for compliance, safety, operational readiness, and cleanliness. Identifies vehicles parked illegally and issues and tracks parking violations. Conducts space utilization counts and assists customers with parking-related questions. Maintains appropriate parking records. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Patrol MDA Parking locations Monitor all parking areas and enforce parking rules, policies, and proceduresCitation Enforcement Issue and track citations (orange stickers) or warnings to owners of vehicles, including motorcycles and bicycles in violation of institutional parking regulations. Take photos of and record all data required for a citation, including reason for citation, date, time, location of offense, and vehicle license plate number.
Parking Observation Monitor parking areas for cleanliness and malfunctioning equipment and notify Custodial and/or Maintenance personnel of general maintenance that needs to be performed.
Customer Service Provide exceptional service to all Parking & Transportation customers, including providing directions or other assistance as needed.
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two years experience in the parking, transportation, facilities, or retail industries.
License: Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license and eligible to drive State and institutional vehicles.
