What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Research Associate position at MD Anderson Cancer Center?
The MD Anderson Cancer Center TRIUMPH (Translational Research in Multi-Disciplinary Program) Postdoctoral Fellowship offers training in clinical and translational research. TRIUMPH is a three year fellowship open to soon-to graduate or freshly minted PhDs or MD-PhDs or early-stage postdocs (fewer than three years of postdoctoral experience).
Selected fellows will have the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art research facilities alongside renowned faculty. They will also benefit from the TRIUMPH programs unique features such as:
- Didactic Coursework: Participants will undertake specialized courses at our graduate school.
- Clinical Rotations: Fellows will gain practical experience in clinical settings.
- Multi-Disciplinary Mentorship: Access to a diverse team of mentors, including a Nobel laureate, five National Academy members, 15 American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellows, and an AACR Awardee for Outstanding Achievement in Basic Cancer Research.
Through an individualized development plan, each trainee will experience a fellowship tailored to their specific needs, positioning them for success both during the program and in their future careers.
Program Eligibility:

1. Must have a Ph.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. degree from a top graduate program (U.S. or abroad) in any of the life or natural sciences within the last three years. (Graduate students within one year of their defense date are also encouraged to apply).
2. Dedication to pursue translational cancer research.
3. Publications in top tier journals (recent graduates must have at least one accepted or published first or co-first author paper in a journal with an impact factor around 8 at the time of application. Postdocs with 1.5 - 3 years of postdoctoral experience must have an additional high impact publication stemming from postdoctoral work)
