What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Nurse/RN/LPN/CMA position at MD CLINICS?
Our Primary Care clinic is searching for a qualified and motivated nurse to join our team. Certification as RN, LPN, or CMA is required. A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a primary care setting is required (2 years is more desirable). Familiarity with computers is imperative. The ideal candidate will be diligent, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment. Applicants should note that this is a fast-paced work place which will challenge one to higher levels of efficiency.
- Checking vitals
- Interviewing patients
- Reviewing and updating allergies and medications
- Updating chief complaints
- Managing patient care according to each patient’s needs under Provider Supervision
- Phlebotomy, Collecting Urine Specimens, Throat swabs, EKG, spirometry
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
- Creating and entering data in spreadsheets, drafting memos and letters when needed
- Referrals and obtaining Pre-Certifications for procedures and medication
- Attending to refill requests, patient forms, and other patient-related documentation
- Communicating with patients by phone and/or via the patient portal

Schedule: Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations: Masks, hand sanitizers and PPE are provided to staff. Masks are required for everyone while in the office.
