Clinic Office Cleaner Job Description
General Statement of Duties:
The Clinic Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in the clinic. This includes performing various cleaning tasks to ensure a neat and organized workspace for staff and patients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing Surfaces:
- Wipe down all surfaces, including computers, exam tables, and door handles.
- Use disinfectants to maintain a sterile environment, especially in high-touch areas.
- Floor Care:
- Mop all floors regularly to maintain cleanliness.
- Buff and wax floors with a machine every 6 months to maintain their appearance.
- Waste Management:
- Replace garbage bags and take out garbage daily.
- Empty outside garbage bins daily to keep the exterior tidy.
- Exterior Maintenance:
- Keep the parking lot tidy by removing any debris or trash.
- Additional Cleaning Tasks:
- Perform other cleaning details as required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the clinic.
Work Schedule:
- Work 5 days a week in the evenings.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks.
- Attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
- Ability to follow infection control protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of basic infection control practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
