Pediatric Clinic Nurse (including Family Practice)
Nursing Duties
- Interview patients, documents their medical Hx, and conducts assessments of vital signs, (e.g. blood pressure, temperature, weight/BMI) as required by clinical protocols and grantee data collection standards. Utilizes evidence-based practices and ensures a Patient Centered Approach.
- Maintain proper clinical records and reports using problem-oriented medical records with can be audited for accountability.
- Assist with providing patient care, discuss and record chief health concerns, perform tests, and administer injections via established program protocols.
- Provide specific health counseling and general education to individual patients and/or groups.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments for specialized medical care beyond the scope of clinic services.
- Cooperate with other health care providers (e.g., behavioral health staff) to ensure holistic treatment plan.
- Keep exam rooms orderly and stocked appropriately for patient treatment.
- Participate in staff meetings and Integrated Treatment Team meetings to review patient care.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Must possess one of the following certificates / degrees > (CMA / CCMA / RMA / LPN / RN) Must have valid KY driver’s license, must pass background check.
