What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Engineer position at MD Helicopters?
SUMMARY
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts. Sets and evaluates time standards. Conduct studies for cost and inventory controls and programs for efficient use of resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Conducts cost studies and analyses.
- Develops labor standards for in house make parts.
- Develops part routings and maintains current part routing in the MRP system.
- Works in a cross functional group along with finance to ensure proper reporting of labor hours both actual and proposed.
- Ensures facility efficiency and workplace safety.
- Project manpower requirements and budgets.
- Coordinates and implements work packages which targets performance, cost and schedule data.
- Develop, implement and maintain the reporting and presentation of performance metrics.
- Assists in the development of project and production schedules.
- Works with Manufacturing Engineering on the integration of Engineering Orders, planning and Bill of Material Changes.
- Other duties may be assigned.
