What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Repair Station Quality position at MD Helicopters?
Responsible to assure the Repair Station Quality System meets the company quality standards and applicable government regulations associated with activities involving 14 CFR 145 and EASA 145. Responsible for the development, implementation and continued improvement of the quality system through the application of aerospace quality assurance techniques and methodologies in a Repair Station environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Establish, maintain and optimize an effective Repair Station quality assurance / management system.
- Implement appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure the quality of incoming / outgoing products and reduce product rejections.
- Work with internal and external customers, suppliers and regulatory representatives to effectively communicate the MDH Repair Station quality system requirements and resolve any discovered system or product conflicts.
- Maintain an effective corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions.
- Work closely with Repair Station disciplines such as, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and company management to standardize quality system processes.
- Set Quality standards and metrics for the Repair Station Quality department in support of quality control / assurance, Company goals and Continuous Improvement objectives.
- Responsible to perform quality system reviews / audits and leads the preventative / corrective action efforts.
- Manage time and department priorities / assignments effectively to meet organizational goals and company policies.
- Make informed and timely decisions on routine and critical issues.
- Represents as the Repair Station quality control / assurance focal point with external customers, auditors and regulatory representatives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
