Locum Tenens Opportunity Overview
We have a locum tenens opportunity for a skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to provide inpatient and outpatient care in a community hospital setting. The position includes call responsibilities and requires experience in handling low and high-risk pregnancies, cesareans, VBAC, breech, and multiple births.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivering babies, performing surgeries, and managing patient care in a hospital setting
- Collaborating with a team of medical professionals, including RNs, CMAs, and midwives
- Meeting specific requirements for deliveries, surgeries, and patient volume
Qualifications and Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Current ACLS certification; intermediate fetal monitoring certification preferred
- Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum experience in delivering 50 deliveries, including 12 cesareans, within the last 12 months
