Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced physician to fill a locum tenens position in Maryland, specializing in internal medicine with a focus on hematology and oncology. This assignment offers a dynamic work environment with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
Assignment Details:
- Start date: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (includes a lunch break from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
- Weekend call coverage: Rotating every 4-5 weekends
- Weekday call coverage: 2-3 days per month, with an NP taking first call on weekdays
Practice Setting:
This position is located in a dynamic healthcare setting that offers both inpatient and outpatient care. The practice uses Epic as its EMR system.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in a hospital and clinic setting
- Collaborate with a team of RNs, medical assistants, physician assistants/Nurse Practitioners, and office staff
- Participate in weekend and weekday call coverage
Requirements:
- Licensure: Maryland license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
- Board Certification: Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
- Fellowship Training: Required
- Hospital Privileges: Temporary privileges available
