About the Opportunity
MD Staff, LLC is seeking an experienced obstetrician and gynecologist to join our team as a locum tenens physician. This opportunity will provide a rewarding experience in providing both inpatient and outpatient care in a well-supported hospital setting.
Job Details
- Assignment Dates: Multiple opportunities available throughout the year
- Location: Near Barnardsville, NC
- Facility Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient coverage with call responsibilities
- Patient Volume: 4-6 patients per shift in the hospital, up to 15 patients per shift in the clinic
Responsibilities
- Providing delivery and surgical services, including cesareans, VBAC, breech, and multiple births
- Performing routine and complex OB/GYN procedures, such as amniocentesis, low-forceps delivery, and cesarean decision-making
- Managing gynecological surgeries, including cystectomies, ovary removals, ectopic pregnancy management, and laparoscopic minor procedures
Requirements
- Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- ACLS certification required; intermediate fetal monitoring certification preferred
- Must hold or be eligible for an active North Carolina license
- Minimum recent procedural requirements as listed above
Support Structure
- Staffing: Includes RNs, CMAs, and midwives to assist during shifts
- Hospital Beds: 15-bed OB/GYN unit with full support for inpatient needs
- Call Support: Midwife assistance for weekday calls; physician-only weekend call coverage
