Job Summary: Client is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Supervising Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Site/Land Development Projects in either our Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices. Responsibilities include functioning as Civil Engineer of record for the project including signing and sealing civil drawings, managing civil project activities from conception to construction including supporting civil site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple and combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that require all facets of civil engineering and design. Rotating Shifts: Where the working hours and days change on a rotating basis; Key Requirements:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering and Design and experience in Power Plant, Transmission and Distribution, and Site/Land Development Projects.
- Any new hire will be required to be within commuting distance of either the Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Experience in Power Plant, Transmission and Distribution, and Site/Land Development Projects.
- Performing engineering calculations such as storm water and site drainage, preparation of SWPPP, environmental permitting, land development plans including foundation excavation plans, roadway layout, traffic circulation studies, erosion and sediment control plans, site grading and drainage plans.
- Fully understands the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline associated, written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
- Civil Design Software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D Modeling, DTM Modeling, PondPack and Flowmaster.
- The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers.
- Strong people skills and ability to work well with others
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in US.
- Preferred Requirements: M.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Prepare project estimates including material take-offs and Client estimates
- Develop task schedules and engineering budgets
- Develop material specifications and prepare bid evaluations.
- Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications and construction documents to support project development.
- Review engineering reports and documentation prepared by junior staff
- Provide mentoring and technical development of junior staff
- Ensure the quality of project deliverables
- Travel to project sites as required
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
