Position Overview:
- Our client is seeking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS and who holds an FSP for a role onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The ideal candidate will possess an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph, 7 years of senior-level experience, and strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS expertise. Additionally, CWIP IAT Level I certification is required.
- As a Senior DevOps Engineer to support critical operations and infrastructure. In this role, you will optimize and automate platforms and applications, drive consistency in deployment and build processes, and contribute to large-scale projects, particularly in AWS environments. You will work with modern tools and technologies to enhance the development and deployment pipeline, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality services.
- Optimization & Automation: Enhance and automate various platforms and applications to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Deployment & Build Consistency: Ensure consistency in deployment and build processes across multiple environments.
- Tool Utilization: Work with tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux, and more.
- Collaborative Projects: Participate in large-scale projects, ideally in AWS, with experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, and Python.
- Containerization Expertise: Apply expertise in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for efficient application deployment.
- CI/CD Pipeline Setup: Set up, configure, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Agile & DevOps Practices: Work within Agile software development frameworks, collaborating closely with teams to ensure high-quality, functional, production-ready code and infrastructure.

- Senior-level expertise with 7 years of experience, including advanced proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS (S3, VPCs, EC2, ECS/EKS, Networking).
- In-depth experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure at scale using AWS and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate and provision infrastructure.
- Expert-level knowledge in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to automate the development lifecycle.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Ruby, focused on automating infrastructure management and cloud resource provisioning.
- Proven ability to work in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proactive, self-driven approach to learning and sharing knowledge across teams.
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required.

Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
