About the Role:
As a music teacher at Harborfields Music Center, your role is integral to our studio's success. Your mission is to impart knowledge, inspire creativity, and cultivate a lifelong love for music in students of all ages. By delivering engaging private and group lessons across a spectrum of instruments, including Piano, Drums, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Viola, Woodwind, and Brass, our teachers are instrumental in unlocking individual potential. Your ability to tailor lessons to diverse needs and foster a supportive musical community will contribute significantly to our studio's reputation for educational excellence. Your passion for teaching ensures that you not only impart technical skills but also instill a profound appreciation for the art of music, making Harborfields Music Center a distinguished hub for musical education in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement music lesson plans for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach Voice and Piano.
- Teach music theory, techniques, and performance skills to students
- Provide individual and group instruction in various musical instruments and vocal techniques
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their musical development
- Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to coordinate performances and events
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Support studio marketing, studio sales, and onboarding of new students
- Organize and direct student performances, recitals, and concerts
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in music theory, techniques, and performance
- Experience working with children of all ages, including preschoolers and adolescent
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual as well as group students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment
- Experience in teaching and playing Piano and Voice (Additional musical instruments a plus).
- Experience in adult education or tutoring is beneficial
- Basic photography skills for capturing moments during performances or events
