Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist
Department: Operations
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Scale: $15.00/hr
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
Experience as a Research Associate preferred but not required.
Must complete and pass a background check.
SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of administrative functions as well as supportive assistance to the Quality Assurance Department. Schedules appointments, gives information and or directions to callers. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Market Research field. Completing timings for the sales department, test projects before they are released to field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Assists with a variety of general office-related activities and performs the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Performs a variety of quality-related functions according to MDC's specifications for monitoring and reporting.
Monitors for compliance with interviewing standards, test programs within CATI software, tests market research data for accuracy.
Assists supervisory staff in the daily maintenance of performance-related feedback and information.
Acts as a facilitator for Research Associates who have questions and/or technical issues.
Acts on the direction of Project Managers and Operations Staff to execute daily tasks in order to meet project deadlines and insure a quality product.
Communicates project needs and concerns to Account and Project Management staff.
Additionally:
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business and announces visitor to appropriate personnel
Follows policies and procedures set forth in Company employee manual and publications
Orders, receives and maintains office supplies
Answers incoming telephone calls and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
Takes messages as necessary
Distributes employment applications to applicants
Assists with application tracking and data entry.
Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with address, directions and other information
Receives, sorts and routes mail
Keeps any and all information seen or discussed confidential
Updates site specific spreadsheets
Assists in processing paperwork for new employees.
Assists in the organization of a variety of office documents.

Quality of Open End Responses
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School graduate
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Ability to read and interpret both English and Spanish aloud with exceptional confidence preferred but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to perform basic functions of office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
