ENGINEERING / CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
The Metropolitan District is a non-profit municipal corporation chartered by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1929 to provide potable water and sewerage services on a regional basis. Today, the MDC provides quality water supply, water pollution control, mapping, and household hazardous waste collection to eight member municipalities - Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor - and to portions of other towns in the region. The Engineering Department , which includes planning, design and construction, is looking to hire full-time (37.5 hours / week) college intern s through a co-op / internship program.
The program will begin on June 2, 2025 and run through December 19, 2025
The Intern will report to the company's Engineering Department in Hartford.
QUALIFICATIONS
College student pursuing a BS in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, water / wastewater focus preferred or pursuing a BS degree in Construction Management . Recent graduates also invited to apply. Computer skills including Auto Cad, Microsoft Access, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
