Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the Medical Device Collection Specialist position. The Specialist will be responsible for collecting non-hazardous devices for recycling or reprocessing for 8 University Hospitals within the Cleveland area. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient collection and management of nonhazardous medical devices for recycling. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in the retrieval process.
Duties
- Conduct thorough retrieval of medical devices from various locations within multiple healthcare facilities.
- Ensure all retrieved devices are correctly documented and tracked following company protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate retrieval schedules and address any specific needs or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of device conditions and any relevant incidents during retrieval.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations while handling medical devices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical device handling, retrieval processes, or inventory management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
