MDM Entertainment is a premier event production company based in Schaumburg, Illinois. We specialize in creating unforgettable events through stunning lighting, drapery, dcor, props, and fabric installations for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. We are looking for experienced professionals to join our team and help deliver exceptional event experiences.

Position Overview :

As a Drape and Dcor Technician , you will play a vital role in bringing special events to life. Youll be responsible for delivering, installing, and removing drapery, fabric installations, decor, and props at event venues throughout the Chicagoland area.

This role requires previous experience with special events and drape installation.

What Youll Do :

Event Installations and Strikes :

Install and remove drapery, fabric panels, and hardware at various event venues, ensuring professional and precise execution.

Set up and dismantle decorative prop sets, including furniture and themed dcor elements, to create impactful event designs.

Collaborate with the team to complete the setup and strike of all event elements, meeting tight deadlines.

Team Collaboration :

Work alongside other technicians and departments, contributing to the overall success of each event.

Support other areas of event production when necessary, such as staging, lighting, or audio-visual setup.

What Were Looking For :

Required Experience and Skills :

Previous experience with special events and drapery installation is essential.

A solid understanding of event logistics, drape systems, and decorative prop setup.

Strong attention to detail and an eye for design to ensure visually stunning results.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Physical and Logistical Requirements :

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.

Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.

A valid drivers license, clean driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Availability to work weekends, particularly Saturdays (day and evening shifts).
