We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in commercial or
residential building construction, architecture, or design for projects in Irvington, Virginia at the Tides Inn property.
The role involves leading and managing project development from pre-construction planning through execution,
ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Key responsibilities include
coordinating design teams, overseeing contractors, managing budgets, and facilitating communication
between all parties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling software, and construction
methodologies is essential. Experience in the hospitality or high-end residential sector is preferred, and
travel to various project locations is required.
ABOUT US
MDS Land Project specializes in project development and client representation for residential,
hospitality, and infrastructure projects. As the project owner’s direct consultant, we provide support
from pre-construction projects and team planning through project execution. By managing the design
and construction teams, we drive schedules, control costs, and facilitate the flow of information to
deliver projects according to owner expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 Years of project management experience in commercial or residential building construction, architecture, design, or related field
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience and proficiency with project scheduling and MS Project Software & Bluebeam
- An organized self-starter with attention to detail
- Must be knowledgeable in construction methodologies, reading blueprints and other technical aspects of construction
- Experience in hospitality and/or high-end residential sector preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide project leadership for the client to ensure projects are completed on schedule and
- within budget
- Coordinate, facilitate, and manage building design team
- Provide oversight and management of owner’s general contractor
- Monitor and manage design and construction schedules to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain and manage project budgets to ensure projects remain within budget
- Coordinate and manage owner’s vendors and contractors
- Coordinate with local authorities and utilities
- Advise owner throughout all phases of project from development to project turnover
- Arrange, attend, and facilitate a variety of meetings to ensure proper flow of information and maintain project schedules
- Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality, and conformance with contract documents
- Review and vet all contractor proposals and change orders
