What You'll Do
- Performs necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments, and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test, and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment.
- Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshooting equipment problems in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Perform all facets of the repair safely while utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools at different heights or adverse conditions.
- Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Perform predictive/preventive/corrective maintenance, utilize computer systems and programs for documentation of maintenance/safety activities; perform time entry, enter notifications, and work orders, enter corrective actions/comments.
- Operate a computer proficiently as needed (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Plan maintenance work as well as work routinely with contractors
- Maintain good general housekeeping, keeping clean equipment and work area. Keep all tools in good working condition.
- Champion and ensure adherence to MDT’s Principles, Culture, Policies, and Procedures
What You'll Need
- Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operation.
- Hands on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair abilities
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams.
- Must be able to work overtime and cross train as required.
- Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, and confined spaces.
- Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling, Ability to carry 50lbs.
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures.
- Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs.
- Strong communication skills required. Reading, writing, and speaking English is a qualification for employment
