Role Summary
As a Manager of Performance Marketing Analytics you will lead a team of analysts to oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from performance marketing campaigns. This role focuses on forecasting, data-driven decision-making, optimizing marketing strategies, and improving campaign performance and ROI. Additionally, you will provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders and guides the company in using data to meet marketing goals. This role involves managing marketing analytics across various channels (e.g., Paid Search, SEO, email marketing) using advanced reporting tools to support decision-making and improve marketing outcomes.
Responsibilities
Demand-Side, Awareness to Interest, Paid Media Analytics:
Expertise in paid media across major platforms (Google, Meta, etc.).
Manage end-to-end demand-side analytics, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Ensure marketing investments meet return goals by tracking daily/weekly campaign performance.
Monitor live campaigns, capture results, communicate outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations to the marketing campaign management team.
Lifecycle & Lead to Sale Pipeline Analytics:
Manage end-to-end lead pipeline analytics, including attribution and journey management.
Utilize CRM/Salesforce to track and optimize the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Provide actionable insights to maximize yield from the lead pipeline.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with marketing and sales strategies.
Continuously refine processes to improve lead conversion rates and ROI.
Creation and Maintenance of Analytics:
Develop, implement, and manage marketing analytics in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Understand data sources, processes, KPIs, and campaign strategies to build dashboards, reports, and tools.
Identify and calculate key metrics like CPM, CPC, CPE, CPA, ROI, etc.
Build intuitive, scalable dashboards and accurate reports to track performance and aid decision-making.
Proactively monitor dashboards, identify trends, and suggest optimizations.
Analyze customer acquisition cost (CAC) and ROI using various methods, including match backs.
Transform complex data into actionable insights and present findings in a clear, narrative format.
Support the broader team with weekly/monthly performance reviews.
Assist in developing insights around customer behavior, attribution modeling, and campaign outcomes.
Lead scenario planning for marketing campaigns, set projected goals, and track progress.
Data, Attribution, and Reporting Systems Management:
Act as the central expert for all marketing analytics systems.
Ensure the accuracy and accessibility of data across platforms such as Power BI, Google Analytics (GA360/GA4), Salesforce, MS SQL Data Warehouse, and others.
Coordinate, validate, and ensure the accuracy of marketing data and analytics, focusing on attribution, de-duplication, and result validation.
Manage marketing analytics systems in collaboration with IT and agency partners to ensure consistent reporting.
Create, define, and maintain documentation for data definitions, lead routing, marketing systems, and reporting processes.
Gather, analyze, and validate new data sources to ensure accurate reporting.
Assist with campaign tagging, tracking implementation, and ongoing management using tools like Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

Qualifications
Education / Experience / Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis; MBA or Masters or equivalent experience in Analytics preferred; or equivalent combination of advanced training/education or relevant experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling.
Related experience assumes a similar corporate role focused on Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics or Business Forecasting. Seven to ten years’ experience in a business analytics, business intelligence, or a related role, preferably working directly with a marketing / finance team is required.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex findings in a structured and clear manner to a non-technical audience
- Experience with performance marketing data sources and tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio, and/or Tealium (preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data quality concepts, best practices, and tools/technologies.
- Experience using and managing data visualization / BI reporting tools such as PowerBI (preferred) or Tableau to support the creation of actionable analytics.
- Experience in data management through the utilization of programmatic languages such as SQL, Excel, and/or graphical interfaces through marketing specific technology.
- CRM Experience with Salesforce or similar.
- Paid Media reporting experience in major ad platforms (Meta, Google, etc.) alongside web traffic reporting (GA4)
- Demonstrates good analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Thrives in a team environment and demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills that enables collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Has a high functioning ability to understand and learn new technology, systems, or software easily.
- Strong attention to detail is required to ensure testing and regular analysis is performed to ensure we deliver best in class customer experiences through our data driven marketing campaigns
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks and work with various teams throughout the organization.
Desired
- Experience as an active member of a data governance program
- Sufficient technical skills to monitor and challenge the deliverables of IT teams.
- Good project management skills, to guide both point-in-time and ongoing data quality improvement projects.
- Strong technical writing skills, documentation abilities, and ability to create process flowcharts through Vizio
- Experience managing large datasets in different formats such as Excel, Access, SQL database, online sources, data warehouses, etc. is highly desired
- Experience with business intelligence, ETL and data visualization platforms such as PowerBI (Preferred), Tableau, Domo, etc.
Certificates and Licenses:
Relevant technical certificates desired. Certification in PowerBI will be expected within the first year of employment.
