What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correspondence and Records Management Analyst position at MDW Associates?
MDW Associates is currently seeking a Correspondence and Records Management (CRM) Analyst to work with our government client in Alexandria, VA. The role is located at the Mark Center and will require candidates to be on-site 4-5 days a week. The CRM Analyst will support the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Privacy, Civil Liberties, and Transparency (OATSD(PCLT)) which plays a critical role within the Department of Defense (DoD). Specifically, this position supports the Directorates leadership and organizational policy portfolio Action Officers, providing analytic and operational support in accordance with the Department of Defense objectives. This includes day-to-day assistance within all facets of the correspondence process including : research, development, preparation, and staffing of defense policy correspondence and communication packages. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to work as an integrated member of a team to achieve mission objectives.
Tasks Include :
- Coordinate and assist internally and externally for executive-level items by providing workflow subject matter expertise and serving as liaison to external OSD office when managing correspondence and workflows
- Assisting the Government personnel with developing plans and coordinating the master work schedules for each Directorate.
- Provide direct interface with internal OUSD(P) DASD and ASD offices and guests via in-person or by telephone to assist in the coordination and execution of OUSD(P) documentation and records
- Analyze incoming correspondence for prioritization and coordination
- Engage with organizational stakeholders to evaluate and determine criticality of specific deliverables and make independent judgements to ensure all packages are appropriately prioritized and coordinated
- Provide editorial review assistance in support of developing and producing final instruments, issuances, staff packages, and green sheets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of improved workflow processes and approaches
- Supports the development, coordination, adjudication, and processing of official DoD documents, such as DoD Directives, often in highly pressurized timeframes.
- Conducts research related to DoD authority, direction, and control as well as roles and responsibilities of DoD components and officials.
- Receive, prioritize, direct, and / or organize incoming products and information, route correspondence, and maintain current files for all executive correspondence in accordance with DoD policies for Records Management
- Work with teammates to prioritize and distribute organizational correspondence appropriately
