Training Coordinators are responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs. management training and soft-skills development, is also essential.
Nature and Scope
The Training Coordinator reports to, works closely with, and assists the Manager, Human Resources in in identifying training needs and mapping out development plans. This position will prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management as well as corporate reporting requirements.
The position is responsible for accurate record keeping and prepares information concerning hourly and salaried employees for department managers and supervisors.
Principal Accountabilities
- Map out annual training plans for management, HR, customer support and more
- Design and develop training programs (outsourced and / or in-house)
- Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
- Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions.
- Conduct foundry-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
- Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
- Gather feedback from trainees after each educational session.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records, utilizing company LMS.
- Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
- Research and recommend new training methods.
Requirements
Qualifications
The incumbent must be very familiar with all aspects of manufacturing training, Industrial Relations, Safety, Training, and Security. Incumbent must be familiar with various computer programs including MSWord, Excel Power Point and Access. A minimum 4-year degree in Education, Training, HR, or related field. This individual should have familiarity and the capability to operate office equipment such as printers, scanners and copiers and be capable of managing several projects at the same time. Should be able to work with others, including conflict resolution, training, and development of employees. Incumbent must have some administrative training and experience in handling employee issues including the ability to handle sensitive issues and retain confidentiality to the highest level.
