Essential Functions
- Maintains desktops, printers, and mobile devices for engineers, administrative staff, and the leadership team
- Monitors basic network function and performance for the local LAN in the Rochester office
- Responds to the needs of various questions of network users concerning hardware, access to resources, and the operation of various software programs
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security
- Manages operating systems and data backups for the local office
- Troubleshoots entry-level network problems, escalating to the Network Engineer and Network Manager as needed
- Maintains and operates office audio including visual equipment necessary to critical business communications
- Implements software and hardware upgrades under the direction of the Network Manager and Network Engineer
- Communicates with office partners to develop office technology needs to be escalated to the Network Manager and the Director of Information Technology
- Trains users on new and modified equipment
- Responds to occasional off-hours or weekend network emergencies
- Travels to other M/E Engineering offices to attend meetings and to cover time off for team members occasionally
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
- Associate of applied science degree, management information systems, preferred
- Computer Information Technology entry level certification(s) such as CompTIA A or Network preferred
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide clear instructions to others
- Organizational and project management skills

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle office materials, tools and controls, reachwith hands and/or arms, push and pull objects, speak, and hear. Finger dexterity and field of vision is required
- The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 20 pounds
- The noise level in the office is usually low to moderate

- The compensation range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
