Omega Design in Exton, PA is custom manufacturer of quality packaging machinery for clients in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Personal Care and Consumer Good Industries.
We design, manufacture, and service a full range of plastic bottle unscramblers, puck unscramblers with container placement, shrinkbundlers, stretchbanders, tray shrink packaging systems, wrap around case packers, secondary orienters, canister and pouch desiccant feeders, and specialty equipment.
We have an exciting opportunity available for a full time, permanent Field Service Technician. We are seeking someone who has working knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly as well as the ability to operate machine and hand tools. Also needed is experience with PLC and HMI programming skills with special emphasis on Allen Bradley

As a Field Service Tech, you will have the ability to travel to customer locations all over the world. You are the face of Omega when you visit our customers. Every job will be diverse and a new experience in your service career. The travel can be for part of the day, overnight, a week, etc. Most projects are Domestic travel with an occasional International project. Overtime is applicable.

What Youll Do

As a Field Service Tech, you will upgrade older machines and install new ones at customer locations along with:
- Modification of machine control programs including, but not limited to, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and motion control systems
- Modification of panel layouts and wiring schematics.
- Travel to customer sites to install new machines and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and programming on existing machines
- Train customer personnel in the setup and use of Omega machines.
- Assist in the development of improvements to Omegas machines through field experience.
- Ongoing training as needed to keep you up to speed on current electrical and programming standards.

- When not traveling, you have the possibility of a Monday through Thursday workweek

Required Experience

- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to customer needs
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
- Valid drivers license

- Knowledge of motion control systems including servo motors, stepper motors and drives
