Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a civil engineer. This role can sit in our Madison, WI; Green Bay, WI; La Crosse, WI; Eau Claire, WI; or Milwaukee, WI office.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the Design of Dynamic Roadways : Take ownership of both rural and urban highway projects, crafting innovative geometric layouts, optimizing drainage systems, and designing efficient corridor models that enhance transportation networks.
- Drive Project Excellence : Prepare comprehensive design reports that showcase your technical expertise and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
- Create the Future of Infrastructure : Develop and refine preliminary and final plans for roadways, intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts, collaborating closely with senior engineers to ensure precision and quality.
- Ensure Safe and Effective Construction : Oversee the construction phase of highway and bridge projects, performing detailed inspections to ensure projects are built to the highest standards, under the mentorship of experienced construction leaders.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines : Work alongside the aviation team on exciting projects, contributing to the design and inspection of aviation-related infrastructure and gaining exposure to a variety of engineering challenges.
- Explore New Horizons : A valid driver's license is required, along with occasional travel, providing opportunities to engage with diverse projects and communities.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or similar discipline from an accredited four-year college AND a minimum of four years of experience.
