We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their lumber and building material needs, providing exceptional service, and contributing to the overall success of our lumber yard operations.
- Greet customers and assist them in identifying their lumber and building material requirements.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and guidance to customers based on their project needs.
- Actively engage customers to generate sales and meet sales targets.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and product offerings to effectively promote sales.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our lumber and building material inventory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to accomplish tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lumber and building materials is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
