Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor and manage animal anesthesia and recovery.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Provide proper animal restraint and handling for safe examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventative health measures.
- Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in veterinary critical care.
Experience
