As a substitute nurse, you will provide nursing coverage for absent or vacant positions, serving students across the district. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide substitute nursing coverage for absent or vacant positions.
- Implement and document plans of care for each student as designed and agreed upon.
- Assist with tasks involved in vision and hearing screening as required.
- Dispense medication and maintain paperwork as required.
- Implement student medical/emergency plans.
- Work in cooperation with certificated and classified staff to promote a medically effective and caring atmosphere for students and parents.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN or LPN licensure with the appropriate State Board.
- Experience in nursing duties with children is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $25.23 per hour.
- 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
- Becomes benefit eligible after 630 hours worked.
