Job Title : Health Information Management Technician
Dept : Health Information Management Services (HIMS)
Reports To : Health Information Manager
Position Summary :
The HIM Dept organizes, oversees and protects patient health information and data which includes symptoms, diagnosis, medical history, test results and procedures and all other health related data.
Qualifications :
- Coding certificate, RHIT, RHI credential or is enrolled in a AHIMA recognized education program to obtain the needed credential.
- Prefer 2-3 years of experience but will train an applicant with appropriate credential.
- Must maintain the continuing education hours that are needed to keep appropriate credential.
